One thing I like about baseball rankings is they don't knee jerk as much

We beat Miami in a series and got a little bump, but when we continued to prove it wasn't a fluke we jumped further.

Miami had a real bad week, but didn't fall forever. If they continue to struggle like that they will, but a bad week, a bad series does not doom you immediately.

Unlike Football where a 20-25 team loses to a top 10 team and they fall out of the rankings or a team continues to win against cupcakes but keeps moving up because teams ahead of them lose because they played someone that was good.
