The only way I can interpret it is, we did not receive any revenue

until year three. Now, whether that was the terms (that no payments would be paid until year three), I do not know because the contract has never been released. I filed the FOIA at the urging of @RJHokie , because many of us had surmised that the revenues paid to each school were not being reported (by the schools nor the ACC) because it was embarrassingly low.
As far as your last paragraph, it goes without saying that I agree, but I doubt any news organization will tackle it (unless it would be the papers in Atlanta and/or Charlotte). The secrecy under which the ACCN/ACC/ESPN/schools are operating, it certainly would seem the ACCN is under performing to say the least.
