Eagles didn't get a needed CB in the draft so they signed Clemson's Mario

Goodrich for $217,000 guaranteed. Last year's top free agent, a TE, got $122,500 guaranteed. Eagles also signed two free agent QBs in Nevada's Carson Strong and Brown's (Ivy League) E J Peery. There are more, but worth noting they signed Kennedy Brooks, RB, Oklahoma (3 ... 1,000 yds. seasons / 7 ypc in college) for $240,000 in guarantees. They expect him to be in their rotation.

I don't mean to tout the Eagles but to share what free agency is about.
