No, can't agree with that in softball. The regular season schedule


is too "incomplete" to do that. Each team needs to play 3 with everyone to put that much weight on the regular season. A single elimination tournament, while not great either, is better. Double elimination would be best.

Win both, and you are truly conference champions. To me, if two different teams win, declare them co champs.
