Well, poop. OK. Let me explain. Years ago I bought


a Yamaha stereo receiver, CD/VCR player, 2 decent Sony speakers and a 5-disc CD changer from @HokieKip and we used that tons before we moved. But since we’ve been in our new home (4.5 years), I never hooked it all up to use it. We obviously don’t have any VHS tapes and we have damned few CD/DVDs. Anyway -

We’re having a community garage/attic sale tomorrow so I wired up all the 1990s electronics to see if some ninetiesophile would buy it cheap and the frookin speakers appear to be blown. Fuzzed out, scratchy.

Do speakers go bad when they’re not used?
