My insurance paid it 100% too, but it was a complete PITA to get Shingrix

My insurance covered it as a medical benefit, not as a prescription benefit. Which meant, I had to get it at a doctors office, not at a pharmacy. My PCP and every urgent care I called said they didn't offer that vaccine, and I should just go to CVS or Walgreens to get it. But CVS and Walgreens can't file a medical claim, they can only file a prescription claim.

There is one CVS near me that has a minute clinic on-site with an actual doctor. I was able to get the vaccine there. Took me the better part of two weeks to uncover that option and get the vaccine.
