I just checked the 9 Alabama loses and


in 4 of them they were outscored by at least 5 giving up anywhere from 9 to 13 runs. Their losses were by scores of 13-6, 5-1, 6-5, 9-4, 5-3, 12-7, 6-4, 9-1, and 3-1. We've only given up more than 5 twice - both times to FSU. And one of these was due to all the illegal pitches called and the other was in the game we scored 23 and it didn't really matter.
