I made out like a bandit at the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Gala on Sat

night. My ol' Lock-The-Omni-Door wife is in charge of that event and I get brought in to volunteer each year. Each year they have a silent auction with all kinds of stuff, and I never bid on anything cause I'm usually too busy doing whatever my task of the evening is. Not this year! I got in early and placed bids on Sloppy Mama's bbq, Celtic House, McNamara's (had to spread out the love between the Irish bars) and Carpool. I was the first bid on all of them and was 20-50 bucks below the value of the gift cards. I figured I'd get outbid throughout the night and the only one I wanted to fight for was Celtic House. Welp, I was wrong. I won em all. I'm a champion.
