Three rows ahead of us and my daughter recognized him immediately. I asked her to hold off at first as not to interrupt him and his wife’s enjoyment of the game, but once it was clear he was open to that sort thing she went up and asked for an autograph on a softball between innings. He smiled and gave her the autograph and chatted with her 5 times longer than I would have expected. Class act.

The Hokies ladies basketball players that were in that area yesterday were just as gracious. Blacksburg is just a wonderful place. My daughter had a great time at both games and is already asking when we’re gonna make the drive again for another one.
