I don’t think it’s poor running. 3B coach Mike Lewis is very aggressive.

When you have a good pitcher on the other side, you have to take some chances on the base paths. Make them throw you out. A lot of times, it comes down to hoping that the opposing team can’t make the throw, or it gets bobbled by the catcher. That’s what the Louisville 3B coach was hoping for. Because there’s no way the runner should’ve been waved through. In MLB, that kind of thing will get you fired as a 3B coach if it costs you an important game or two.
