Certainly would be fun to see! Hokies getting nice props from D1 crew

From "Kendall Rogers Rewind: What We Learned, Five Players/Coaches With My Attention":

"5 — Virginia Tech’s offense can light up anyone - Miami entered the weekend in Blacksburg with arguably the top one-two punch in the ACC outside of FSU’s Parker Messick and Bryce Hubbart, but the Hokies simply didn’t care. Carson Palmquist had a rough day in the series opener, giving up six runs in 3.1 innings of work, while Karson Ligon also struggled immensely. Tanner Schobel, Cade Hunter, and others had massive weekends as the Hokies scored 30 runs in three games against the Hurricanes. After the weekend, the Hokies rank second nationally in batting average (.326), second in doubles per game (2.59), second in home runs (76) and home runs per game, second in slugging percentage and fourth in on-base percentage. In other words, this is a powerful, well-rounded lineup. Last season, the Hokies got off to a fast start only to flounder down the stretch. But this doesn’t look like a team who is ready to give an inch offensively, on the mound and certainly not from a mental standpoint. They’re locked in, and that’s scary for opposing teams."

"5 — Tanner Schobel, Virginia Tech - The Hokies have been one of the great stories in our game so far this spring, vaulting up the RPI rankings and joining the D1Baseball Top 10 for the first time in school history. Tech is coming off a huge series win over Miami, and guess who was a one-man wrecking ball? Shortstop Tanner Schobel. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder, finished last season with a .279 average, seven homers and 33 RBIs, but his production has been off the charts this spring, and particularly this past weekend against the Hurricanes. He finished the weekend with a whopping seven hits, two home runs and 10 RBIs."
