Fine, most gifted in the modern era


I wasn't even alive when Curry played for VT or when Bimbo last led us to a winning record. I'm also older than both our football Offensive and Defensive coordinators...

The 80s were 40 years ago, we're recruiting kids whose parents don't even remember those guys unless they were big Metro fans in grade school. Comparisons aren't possible because the 3 point line didn't even exist when Dell was here and it was brand new for Bimbo.

Rice had an eFG of 59% in the EYBL this year, Bimbo never topped 46% at VT even when he had the great scoring companion Wally Lancaster. Those guys are all time greats and it's fun to talk about them but neither was at Rice's level coming out of high school IMO.
