I think it's "most," not "some."

Which sounds utterly unintuitive.

Different topic with the same conclusion, but I saw an article a few years ago on why traffic circles are received so poorly in the US despite the overwhelming evidence they are way better at managing an intersection than traffic signals. At least one factor was that people like the simplicity of Green = Go, Red = Stop and not having to think or make decisions as they go through an intersection. They would literally rather wait through a stoplight than be forced to think for themselves. Sad.
