The SOS is still strong, #3, and NCSOS is #2.

There is one team ( Oklahoma ) with one loss, and three teams that each have five losses, and then there are several teams with six losses, and Virginia Tech is one of those five losses teams. So, as devastating as it was to lose Friday night, and the third game at FSU last Sunday, it was not the end of the world in softball terms. There are only four teams in the nation will less losses than our team.

Also, the attendance at the games on Friday night and Saturday afternoon was amazing. It was phenomenal. Many of the people at the games are new fans of our team. Enthusiasm for the team by fans is growing so fast that there are huge crowds at the games, and if our team hosts a regional and super regional tournament, there will be even more people at the games.

As has been stated many times by posters on this board, thousands upon thousands of dollars are being lost by not charging to attend the games. Maybe in the future, as in next year, that will change, but it is certainly a missed opportunity for gaining funds for our team.

Please continue to support fund raising projects for our team through Chip, and now the Hokie Club. My contributions are sent to Chip to be presented to our coach, and then the athletic department.

With this team -- including players, coaches, and other workers for the team -- and Chip, and all of the fans, this is a special time to be a softball fan and supporter.
