Random observations.

1. Damn, people just continue to get fatter. I am sure the pandemic didn't help but just wow. Saw two different people that were unable to ride roller coasters because they couldn't get the restraint to latch properly so they had to do the walk of shame. Very sad actually.
2. The park was packed, as expected being a holiday weekend. However, there were TONS of shops/restaurants/kiosks that were not open and we were told multiple times they simply can't staff everything. Things should get a little better when the college kids return but the lines for food and drink were insane - people waited for over an hour to get food in the Festhaus.
3. Similar problem with rides - the lines were REALLY long because (at least in the case of roller coasters) they were running fewer 'trains'. The Griffin line was 90 minutes long most of the day because they were only running two sets of cars instead of the normal three - again, limited staffing.
4. The new coaster (Pantheon) was closed almost the entire day so I didn't get a chance to ride it. It looks pretty intense so I will have to go back this summer and try again. The fact that no one was in line for that ride clearly contributed to the longer lines everywhere else as well.
5. They still do a really good job of keeping that park clean and well-maintained. Still enjoy the vibe there overall.
6. Worked a half day before I went and still got in over 18,000 steps that day.
