My grandfather worked on the filter team depicted in the movie

it wasn't quite like shown in the movie, but it was an all hands type operation. He was near the end of his career in the model and simulation department. Because he had knowledge of the parts and systems on the Apollo vehicles he got called up to the bigs. Retired in 1973, died 2013, was retired longer than he worked!
