"FSU’s offense is perplexing. Trying to figure out when Florida State will score runs is as unpredictable as the weather this spring. Through the first two games of the series against UNC, FSU has scored a total of three runs. The Seminoles were able to win late in the opener 2-0 with Kathryn Sandercock in the circle, but couldn’t produce on Saturday in a 5-1 loss to even the series. This is against a UNC team that has a staff ERA of 5.33, which ranks at the bottom of the ACC, and has given up 217 runs in 42 games. Maybe FSU is suffering a bit of hangover from the big series against Virginia Tech last weekend. But the Seminoles lost a chance to make up some ground on the Hokies, who dropped one game against Virginia in their series win. FSU desperately needs to get the offense going in Sunday’s Easter rubber match to pull out the series win that most expected to be a sweep."
