Originally committed to wake forest in summer of ‘17


Fuente offered him a spot as a preferred walk-on and he decommitted to wake. Smith’s brother was a student at Tech at the time, and it was the school he had visited the most, but wasn’t recruited by Beamer. That might have been a result of smith missing his senior year due to an injury. Smith enrolled at tech in January of 2018. Great however to see smith come into his own this spring.
