I think UVA may have spent the better part of the season preparing for this series. They seem to have a very specific strategy, especially for their pitching staff. So they are going to be a tough out again today, in all likelihood.

But the best teams do of course respond to adversity. So while I’d like to see a total beat down, perhaps today we need to be satisfied with a win, however it may come. As we know, some of the best lessons can be taught after close wins. If we win 2-1 and then get really dialed in and fired up for the home stretch (only 9 total games remain on the regular season schedule after today), then that might not be the worst thing.

Seems that FSU series sapped us of something. Focus, energy, whatever it might be. But UVA is part of this. They are freaking dialed in.
