I just rerplaced a bag I had for YEARS with an "Away" ->


polycarbonate sided bag. I actually got the carryon first and it was too small for me. Reordered the bigger one (use it on extended trips out of the country so I put up with checking it).

I really like the bag but haven't had it long enough to have a good opinion on how it stands up. i DID do a lot of research and read a lot of reviews for multiple sources, and Away" kept coming up at the top of the list. I also spoke to a friend who swears by it.

Also, I was amazed at how easy they are to deal with. Got my bag both times in about 2 days (free UPS) and return was a breeze..

I'd buy another one in a minute, but remember, i don't have long-term data on how it performs
