There are some batters who D'Amour could say "don't even swing at the first pitch. Take." Get a feel for the pitcher. Especially batters who are struggling. If Peck or Ritter go after the first pitch, fine. They are hitting .346 and .400.... a random out here and there from not being patient, you live with because they are hitting in general.

For example, Bailey needs a better plan. :). Her average is down to .257 and it continues to drop. It was roughly .270-ish in the FSU series. I know it is not that simple. She could have a great initial plan but all plans face reality and real execution.

There have been games earlier this year where the lack of patience was used to describe hitting woes. Not a crisis. Not making it a big deal. Just being a coach for years, I just think coaches can say or dictate more... knowing execution is an entirely different animal.
