Fact is ESPN and ACC determine the things they show on the network AND all VT can really do is respond to the directives. Moreover, you're not going to limit resources to a network production to cover an alternative platform broadcast as doing something poorly because of the failure to properly allocate resources is worse than not broadcasting something at all. Yes, it may be "practice" but, in terms of viewership it is still going to draw more eyes than any other live event of a VT team with the possible exception of men's basketball.
