Unsure of the ruling
Understand replanting would/could add force to the pitch, but the hop Emma does, the pitch/ball is gone before she lands. Tough to put extra umph on the pitch when you aren't pushing off. From other responses in other threads the "hop" is legal in USA Softball, but illegal in NCAA. This is strange, but if true "why the difference?"
Dear Pitching Coach: this is a solvable problem. Emma is a good to great pitcher let's make hear FANTASTIC and solve this problem.
NCAA: Why is a hop illegal? Let's get this straightened out. Was it illegal and if there is this variance between NCAA and USA Softball get it fixed.
