I think Pete might have told Mike Lewis to not get thrown out also.

That ump was going to throw out anyone from the VT dugout who gave him so much as a dirty look. I don’t know who else would’ve been able to coach. If the game had gone to extras, we needed a decision maker in the dugout. I mean, I suppose Keely could’ve pulled off her best Pete Rose and managed/played, but not sure she would’ve been totally objective about if/when to bring in Ivy or Ozzy, haha!
