Here’s what a competent ump would do


1) go to Coach Pete at some point before today’s game and advise how he was going to call illegal pitches, so Coach would know if using Emma was an option.

2) Even on a ball, he should advise the coaching staff the pitch was illegal.

3) Call it on every strike, not just outs and third strikes.
