Most of us knew that she has a crow hop, and often. There is no denying it by the letter of the rule.

The announcers addressed the inconsistent calling of the crow hop today, and in other games, and the announcers are correct. They also think the rule needs changed, and eliminated. Really, the pitcher does not gain any advantage.

I knew it would be called today, and so did Coach Pete.The game was at Florida State, so that explains that situation.

Also, it was called on strike three, or an out. The announcers said that Emma had thrown ten pitches, and all were crow hops, but not all were called, and again the announcers were correct.

Going forward, this has to be corrected by our coaches. It can not continue. Other teams will expect it to be called, and probably notify the umpires before the games that it needs to be called. It is a tough situation for our team, coaches, players, and fans.

The third base umpire made the calls, and the ejections. Virginia Tech needs to notify the ACC that this umpire can not call any of our games. Honestly, he is terrible.

This happened at Tech one day while attending a game with Florida State. Tincher was the pitcher. The FSU coach at third base kept talking to the third base umpire, and he called it. The first base umpire was seeing the same thing, and he did not call it.

The athletic department assured me on Monday that that umpire had been banned. The policy then was that three umpires could be banned. That needs to be the situation now. This umpire needs banned.

By high school mechanics, the plate umpire has to watch the hands of the pitcher, and the base umpire watches the feet of the pitcher, so if that is college mechanics, the umpire at third base was calling his responsibility, but he did not call it on every pitch.

Then he ejects our coaches. That guy needs banned from our games.

Bottom line is that this is a serious problem for our team with the crow hop calls, and it is serious. If we are to advance far into the playoffs, this crow hop has to be corrected.

Emma has to have several feelings now, but losing confidence needs to be restored. It is necessary. She needs the support of everybody.

Finally, this was terrible umpiring from the third base umpire.
