In more rural schools, they go to spring games, because its frankly the only game in town.

In big cites like Boston, DC, Atlanta, the lifestyle is different, you commute or work up early get home later, too late. Saturdays or for chores, family commitments or other social events. And they rank a little higher than going to an exhibition game with no value except see players. (they can find that out through internet browsing.
