You can’t “willpower” the body’s reactive swelling/healing to a major


injury away and inducing unnecessary stress during healing is asking for problems, especially when functional parts foreign to your body are involved. When a few weeks ago Tiger said he wasn’t ready yet (if ever) and then a week ago saying he’s going to play at Augusta, I wasn’t very confident (even on a flat course). Tiger should withdraw from this final round and not make things worse for now. I've had longterm injury and re-injury due to a stupid "I can do it/I can overcome this" now presumptive attitude. With this guy though it's tough to rule out winning again, but I'll say 50% odds of winning again before he's 50 if he doesn't quit.
