- The checklists are submitted after every bird spotting event. It can be a single bird report, but most are when people have watched birds for a period of time. You can submit as many checklists as you wish. I think I submitted 5 checklists over the four days.

- Merlin is a phone app to identify birds. You can also report birds through the app. It's free to download.
• 141,990 photos added to Macaulay Library
- You can submit pictures with your bird checklists. it's optional unless you see a rare bird in your area, then they want you to submit a picture to show you actually saw the bird.
• 384,641 estimated global participants
- That's how many people worldwide who submitted checklists.
