Especially towards the end once fouls had been evened up and Xavier was getting called for everything. They truly knew nothing about basketball based on some of their commentary.

I once thought VT and TAMU were like brother schools but after living in Austin for 3 years and seeing their basketball fans last night that feels really far from the truth beyond the scholastic comparisons (military, engineering, maroon, land grant). They're certainly more vocal than VT fans and aren't afraid to scream horrible thoughts at 18 year olds.

Those guys are an incredibly vocal cult obsessed with the University of Texas. The amount of fans throwing the horns down on the jumbotron in an NIT game against Xavier located in NYC was insane. I couldn't imagine a rival living rent free to that extent in the heads of VT fans.
