Before we head off to Florida for the next two softball series, I thought I would give everyone a quick update on our TEN for the WIN fundraiser.

Although the initial challenge by TWHokie was to pledge dollars per win, we have had several different permutations on that concept and it’s all great. TW himself has added additional pledges for series sweeps and home runs and other folks have done strikeouts (including the Hokie Club – thank you) and others have simply sent one-time donations. ALL of it matters and every single dollar helps!!!!

Gelded Turkey went ahead and sent in his matching $7,500 when it became obvious that we would hit our initial goal of $7,500 so we are rolling!!!! THANK YOU, TSL COMMUNITY

I have already delivered checks to Coach D’Amour in excess of $15,000 and I got back home today and another $200 was waiting for me in the mailbox! Poppin' It!

Our current pledges now total $315 per win so if the Hokies win 40 games, that will amount to another $12,600 to softball. Some folks have elected to send in part of their pledges already (that totals $2,450) so we are realistically looking at a total of around $25,000 raised for Hokie Softball! And that doesn’t count folks who have pledged informally and not notified me and I know we have several in that boat, including several softball parents.

ALL OF IT HELPS and ALL OF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!!!
