I was driving down Rt. 7 out in Sterling and I was looking through the stoplight and ahead to the exit sign coming up to see if it was the exit I needed. I'm cruising along and, because I was looking through the light, didn't notice the light was even there much less that it changed to red. Slammed on the brakes at the last second but I'm going 35-45, whatever the speed limit is, and slid about halfway through that intersection. Thankfully it was a turn signal and there wasn't any cross-traffic going yet but dear lord that was so stupid of me. I like to think I'm not a jack@ss on the road but I sure felt like one at that moment.
