Back in the day I got a $1000 travel voucher ...


which you were not allowed to trade for cash. You had to use the company 'travel' department (back when those were more common) and essentially you got $1000 of free travel money. Their way of rewarding you AND forcing you to get away - it was VERY popular though there were a few Karens that bitched because they wanted cash instead.
