I think Bruce's decision had nothing to do with Brady returning.

If I had to venture a guess, he finally decided it was time to step away from that extremely high stress job.

Heck, just look at Joe Gibbs...he didn't last anywhere near as long as Bruce. Pretty clear owning a NASCAR team is a lot less stress than being an NFL head coach.
