If the FIFA refs can send teams off the pitch because of ....


.... inappropriate chants and slurs by the crowd, why aren't they calling a halt to the match until the laser pointers are stopped? Unlike chants and slurs, this is a crowd action that has DIRECT interference with the outcome! Many sports have rules designed to account for fan interference, and (I think) football is no exception.

What was going on here with FIFA? I don't get it.
