Tech only fell 1 spot after the UNC loss. Helped our RPI.
Tech played UNC even during the first quarter, then UNC controlled the game from that point. UNC has one of the nation's top draw control specialists, so it wasn't a shock that they controlled most of the draws. Even when Tech won a draw, they had trouble clearing or they turned it over (turnover or shot clock violation). There were some good moments in the second half, but the second quarter was a disaster. I think Tech was only on offense for two possessions from the final 2 minutes of the 1st quarter to halftime. UNC was so talented that they could just go one -on-one and beat the defender. They scored two shorthanded goals on breakaways. You could easily see the difference in speed and athleticism. That's why they're #1. I expect the same from BC. Charlotte North usually has her best conference performances against Tech.
The Louisville and Liberty losses may come to haunt us. I agree that Tech must win 3 of their last 4 or 2 of 4 "if" they upset #2 BC.
