Learned from my first shoot, the foamy ear plugs were useless alone.

Bought some ear protection to go over the plugs from then on. Hadn't realized how loud a 9mm actually is, especially in a small closed shooting room. Even the small vest pocket Colt 25 is loud as hell. Dad wore it on his hip during WW2 while working at the Navy Yard in Portsmouth.
