You can find laurels on the trails at Swallow Falls, Maryland


I've seen them in Virginia around Mt Rogers, also in Tennessee around the Unaka mountain range. White to light pink blossoms.

Here in Maryland there are also Azaleas, usually white to light pink.
But the Fire Azaleas are really something. Very bright orange.
I seem to recall seeing them at Sugarloaf Mountain in Maryland.

Biltmore House has all of these and more in the gardens near the mansion.
