UMD destroyed FGCU, a good small ball team, with an athletic and big front line that defensively nullified any offense other than one shot from outside the 3 pt line and offensively owned the inside which set up wide open 3s. Our team was unable to get open 3s making us totally dependent on Liz- a situation that caused a few other losses earlier in the year. The ACC elite NCSU and Louisville have not only skilled guards but also big and athletic forwards to complement their centers. Since we never saw Norris in action maybe the loss isn't severe but Kenny now has an even larger of need for quality bigs.
