I definitely don’t know enough about Russian military resources, but in my super limited experience, it seemed like there was a whole class of youth that didn’t have the chance to get any post-HS education, and it just seemed like alcohol use was really high. I don’t know if that was true or not- just my perception (again, everyone on the train going home early in the am was drunk, but maybe I was just on the wrong train platform).

I just think that there may sadly be a lot of disposable youth.
