Well it is semantics


No one wants to be out there with an offer that gets turned down or want a job that isn't offered.
But if Whit didn't at least take some informal swings at higher level higher profile coaches before settling on CMY it would IMO had been AD malpractice. Again giving the Cincy history, he almost had to had back channelled to Cronin. It is too convenient to say we started and ended with CMY. I'm not making any negative judgements about how it is turning out just that I don't buy it . CMY WAS a pretty big risk, sure he was a nice guy and fundamentally a good coach but no one knew if he could get and retain ACC level talent. To have just settled on him early.nah, not buying.too convenient.

He certainly didn't start and end with Pry....nor should he have.
