VT lands commitment from Nebraska DE graduate transfer Pheldarius Payne,


from the transfer portal. He's native of Suffolk, VA, played high school at Nansemond River. 6'3" 260 lbs has played both DE and LB, but projected to play DE. May play opposite TyJuan Garbutt. With Amare Barno off to the NFL, this was a good pickup. Don't know which VT coach recruited him, but Zohn Burden at Duke also recruited him since he's from 757. Welcome back home Pheldarius!
