2023 Expectations

Team should absolutely be in hunt for the ACC title next year and a top 10 finish at Nationals-how they can finish will depend on draws, how guys handle weights, and if any young guys make a leap..
125-Ventresca or Flynn. Both have wrestled well this year during redshirts and it will be a battle to see who emerges as the starter. With Camacho back at 125 for NC State I think a reasonable expectation would be 2nd in the conference for whoever wins the job.
133-I think Latona will be a STUD at 133. People forget how good he looked in 2021, obviously he struggled with the weight this year and that really effected him. He is so good on his feet though and will be a force at 133.
141-Hillegas returns from injury. So good on top. Needs to continue to improve on his feet and on bottom.
149-Andonian. Should be right there with Lovett and Sasso and Gomez to see who can finish 2nd to Yianni. Beyond entertaining. Some people have said they heard rumors of him going up to 157, but the people I know around the program have said thats not the case. We will see though.
157-Connor Brady. Hopefully he is one that can take the next step. He's so strong and athletic, really hard to score on. Would love to see him get more offensive.
165-Clayton Ulrey. Same with Brady-hopefully he can take the next step.
174-Mekhi Lewis. Simply put the OT rules are stupid and he got hosed by the offical missing the locked hands twice. Matches against Starocci should be awesome for the next two years. Would like to see him get more offensive against the top level talent and not just rely on re-attacks but you can't knock him too much obviously.
184-Trey Kibe. Obviously year one of Kibe will be a downgrade from Bolen (even the limited Bolen from this year). But he is a talented kid who was a high level recruit.
197-Either Howard or Stewart as true frosh. Howard is so tough and has a non stop motor. Stewart is a STUD. He's so explosive on his feet. How quickly he gets acclimated to D1 wrestling will be interesting to see.
285-Catka. Yes he didn't have a great redshirt year, but he also didn't have an offseason due to rehabbing the elbow. He did make the blood round in 2021. I think he takes a big step up next year.

I think 3 All-Americans with the potential for 5.
