Any paddlers here? Kayakers? Camping peeps?

Especially you folks with BSA in your history

I stumbled upon this story, and it is incredible to me that someone would attempt what this guy claims he attempted. 2 links: 1, the coast guard audio of his rescue. 2, the fella's blog.

While his blog has a crisp neat appearance (apparently, he's a lawyer in Washington State), I just don't buy it. If it is true, the number of safety violations are countless.

His blog says he couldn't roll. Guys. If you're not a paddler, let me put it in perspective: this would be like planning to ride your bike the entirety of the Blue Ridge Parkway, but confessing you don't know how to change gears on your multi-speed bike.

And it goes on from there.

I thought the Lounge (tm) would enjoy the BS.
