He got a golden ticket, but he won't go far IMHO


I believe this just happened tonight -- I got a text from my sister about it with a video. He's good to pretty good, but in the American Idol world that just won't cut it. He's got inherent talent, though, and he hasn't been at it much so I think we're more likely to see him get sent home early and come back in a couple years and really kick butt.

The announcers told him he had some real talent and a great storytelling ability, but also said he was rough. One even commented that his guitar was out of tune, which is not something you want to hear at something like that. lol. But he went through, and I'm sure it'll be a great learning experience for him.

As for VT, near as I can tell he played in 2017-2020 seasons on special teams only/primarily.
