Watched the video- one point he makes is that NFZ’s cannot stop cruise miss

Missiles or missiles shot from A/C outside the NFZ (from Russia, etc.)

Also, there are many Russian SAMs as targets already in the Ukr.

* Both points are valid but no relevant to maintaining an NFZ. Both do have to be dealt with, however:

1. Someone with aircraft / missiles has to take out existing Russian SAMs inside Ukr. That requires A/C that can get over Ukr and defeat the ground systems before they defeat the A/C or incoming missiles aimed at the SAMs. That’s part of establishing the NFZ initially. And that would kill Russians on the ground, whoever was flying / firing. And, they’d have to fly against Russian A/C and kill them too- whoever flew the planes.

2. However, once the NFZ is established, S-300 SAMs, donated by Slovakia and other post- Soviet countries, can then take out any incoming cruise missiles that are currently being fired from outside of the Ukr. I don’t know the percentages of success, but you have to take the shot to make the shot. And right now, nothing is stopping the current annihilation of Ukr cities by these incoming missiles.

The Ukr needs MiGs and needs them in a hurry. Then the S-300s. Otherwise the whole country will be a complete pile of rubble. The only thing stopping that now is the ability of the Russians to go through their procedures of positioning / setting up the missiles and firing them.
