My daughter's 16U volleyball club is more forgiving than that.


They started practice in December, had a couple of scrimmages and started tournament play in January. Our last tournament, number 5, is this weekend. They will have played 26 total games since Jan 1. Good experience, everyone improved and had fun traveling, but now it's over just in time for the spring sports.

The volleyball "power teams" will continue play for another 2 months before traveling to the nationals in June. Her team wasn't anywhere near as good as that, but those teams are also filled with players who are looking to play on scholarship in college. So they can look at the time spent as a good investment.
