I'm not sure what you want me to "defend" about social distancing and masks. As usual you don't come out and make an actual point. Both are effective means of reducing the spread of an infectious disease especially given the fairly minor effort/drawbacks involved. I've said more times than I can count the effectiveness of a mask depends on a variety of factors from material to behavior.

I'm not sure what your beef is with social distancing but common sense dictates that being farther away from someone reduces your chances of catching anything from them. I'm sure you have some graph from Timbuktu that you have misinterpreted and think proves otherwise just like I'm sure you truly believed we'd hit herd immunity here in late summer of 2020. That's the sad thing in all this. You think you're some sort of expert on this and in reality you are almost completely clueless.
