I think it applies more in basketball and games with large disparity


In basketball, they get to play more than once, like Kansas and Texas.
Also, when a team significantly beats another team, like Kentucky's beat down of Kansas, it shows they are in another league.

The assumptions I made are as follow......
Kentucky > Kansas ( which based on a 20 point difference when they played, is probable)
and
Kansas = Texas (They played twice, and split games)

Now showing that both Notre Dame AND Duke beat Kentucky this season,
indicates that VT (which beat Notre Dame and Duke 3 times!!)
should be as good or better than Kentucky.

So of course VT can handle Kansas and therefore Texas.
The more data points you have, the more accurate Transitive is.
