Montana Fouts proved to be human after all


In Saturday's game 1, Fouts (10-0, 1.87 ERA) had her shortest start of the season, lasting just 2 ⅔ innings, allowing a season high in walks (6) and earned runs (5). The 2021 NFCA Pitcher of the Year threw just 42 strikes in her 90-pitch appearance as LSU won 13-6.

Then in game 2, Lexi Kilfoyl pitched for the first time in 3 weeks (injury) and LSU beat her 5-1

On Sunday, it was the typical Fouts who showed up, allowed just three hits and no earned runs as Bama took the finale 2-1.
